What to say, after i have read previous four books, Heretics of Dune came into my hands, and i must say that i am to some degree dissapointed. It has everything that you expect from Frank Herbert, great plot, characters, political intrigues, pace, and yes Arrakis is again desert planet, but something is missing, especially i was dissapointed by the end of the book. It is written fast and Herbert lost himself or it was just like that so he can make part 6, i think the second option is more realis ...more

Some interesting ideas but very different in tone to the first three and the preoccupation with sex can be a little off putting. Feels like an extended epilogue to God Emperor of Dune's definitive ending to the original story arc of the first four novels. ...more
