What Members Thought
Dune Messiah is an unusual sequel in that it intentionally does not try to do things bigger than the original. In fact, this is a much more personal story about Paul coming to terms with the fallout of the last novel. Kudos on Frank Herbert for not following the normal cookie cutter tradition of a follow up, instead crafting a superb, literary deconstruction of the characters of the proceeding novel.
