As the author of this book, I want to share with you this remarkable 20,000 mile/3 year journey. Out of 17 horses that the four men used at times on the trip around the entire country, only one horse made it the whole way...PINTO! After more than 100 years, Pinto finally gets to tell his story.

This historical fiction is based upon the true story of the longest horseback ride in history. Of the seventeen horses that the four men from Washington state used, only one made it the whole 20,300 mile / 3 year journey. That horse was Pinto! So, Pinto tells the story. Great for all lovers of "Black Beauty." ...more
