This was a sweet, undemanding read ... I do like Scott's style and have never had a complaint about her stories and characters ... compared to the drama of the first in the series, this instalment was anti-climactic, but a nice read never-the-less ... I turn to books like this one to clear the palate after a heavy angsty story ... I'm comfortable with the knowledge that Scott will deliver a neat package with a satisfying HEA ... there are times in life when you want to know that your reading eff

Short, quick paced read and having read the earlier books, know what I'm going to get.
Fairly straight forward plot with Luke returning to the town he left damaged by his fathers hands a dozen years before.
Some traumas to overcome by Luke. Daniel's are a bit more obvious, with his having seen combat and been injured. I'd like to have seen more about his plans for the group house for PTSD sufferers.
A lot of page time by the guys already met, and also those yet to have their story.
