This series was highly recommended by a couple of my book club gals. So glad I listen to them!
Even though this is a new adult book, it had just the right amount of sexy and character growth to keep me interested. Definitely a must read. I loved the fact that Jamie McGuire recreated the story from Travis' POV. The way she wrote this POV made it different enough that it wasn't the exact same story. However, I do suggest that you put a bit of time between reading book 1 and book 2. I read them back ...more

This was amazing! I thought it was going to be a bit boring because it is basically the same story as Beautiful Disaster, but it wasn't boring at all! I loved it Travis' POV was amazing, it was beautifully written and very moving. I was a little annoyed with Abby during Beautiful Disaster because I thought she jerked Trav around a bit, and I completely believe she did now after reading this book. I encourage everyone to read this book and you wouldn't even HAVE to read Beautiful Disaster first!

I loved the story from Travis's side, it really made me want to slap Abby a few times, hard headed, emotionally challenging woman! A lot of emotions were stirred up from this side of the story. Unfortunately I did get bored with some of the repetition, especially of the scenes I didnt like in the first book. Nice epilogue, which was not expected!

Was it perfect?
No, it wasn´t.
Did I enjoy reading it?
Every second.
P.S. This isn´t really a second novel. It should be called companion novel. Someone told me there will be other Maddox boys books. Well, I can´t wait to read Trenton´s story.
