Shelves: library, uno-books, fantasy, magical-realism, cosy-fantasy

A charming and cozy fantasy about cats curing all ailments. Unfortunately the writing was abrupt (was this the fault of the translator?) and I found it hard to connect with the characters. The stories were repetitive - I think it would've been stronger as a short story or novella.

It did, however, make me want more cats. I've had them all my adult life, but one of my dogs terrorizes them so we weren't able to get more when our 18-year-old boy passed away last year. I miss having cats! ...more

This cute book is made up of five stories about how much a cat can improve your life. It’s broken into five parts. Bee, Margot, Koyuki, Tank and Tangerine, Mimita.

Cute book! You need to love cats to read this book. It was interesting to hear the different ways that a different culture uses words and interacts with other humans:):) …the formalities and cultural norms introduced were a little different. Definitely had a short story feel to it.
