This book was a nice change of pace for me. I read it on a recommendation from my husband's co-worker. Once I started reading, I didn't want to put the book down.

One subtle detail I appreciated was in the typography. There were time when the dialogue would switch to "adults". It was never a so-and-so said, he said back sort of dialogue. It was just anonymous talking. Here the typeface was sans serif, like a computer. When it was following the "kids" the typeface was serif, like in books.

It was good book. I liked the kids and the relationships, but the middle seemed to drag out a little. With each new war and battle, I knew the outcome so I was ready for him to move on long before he did. I was glad it didn't end where it could have. It was nice to have them come full circle and explain more. The last 10 pages answered almost all my questions and changed my rating significantly.

It was also nice to have the edition that had the authors notes in the beginning. I'm glad I read this

The is my favourite book of all time, in fact I'm worried if I should reveal how things I read it.

As always, it was is a great story. Orson Scott Card writing style is sublime.
