This was compelling and heartbreaking. Maybe it was the young age of Ender and the closeness in age to my own. It was good to see Ender's evolution and maturation, despite the influence of the adults around him. Despite the bleakness of the human condition, it was hopeful to see the characters cling and fight for some semblance of absolute goodness in themselves and their actions, to make the most of their ill-advised/guided actions. ...more
