Kelli V Spann

I’ve always thought of mosaic as this big metaphor for my life,” she says. “All these jagged, incongruous pieces…” She holds up a small shard of milky jade-green glass. “These are like the things that happen to you. But if it’s laid out a certain way and if you take a step back from it, it makes sense.

A new Elin Hilderbrand novel, a good revenge story, strong women, redemption and an abandoned hotel - count me IN! The author places her novels in Nantucket, MA. There is a never ending array o

I have mixed feelings about this book. I'm a fan of the author's previous work but I had a hard time connecting with these characters. I stopped and restarted reading a few times until I progressed straight through until the end. Passing the mid-point of the novel, I started to enjoy the read.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hildebrand...wow,what a beautiful story. It makes me want to go to Nantucket. This is my favorite book of Skin Hildebrand so far. I loved reading and slowly finding out everyone's secrets. The characters were so well developed, they felt real to me. I highly recommend this book. I was sad when it ended, like I was losing my friends. ...more

I was kind of disappointed in The Hotel Nantucket to be honest. It's a good story, no cliffhangers, no raunchy sex scenes or violence, but it's not that exciting either. It's an enjoyable beach read (I saw Hilderbrand is referred to as "Queen of the Beach Reads" and the fact that it's about a hotel in one of the East Coast's fanciest beach communities is right on the money). As someone who lives in Eastern Massachusetts, I can say the book is well-researched, all Hilderbrand's references are tim
