Author Gillian McAllister grabs your interest and takes you on a mystery ride with her main character, who is a mother of a teenage son. "Isn't it a price worth paying?"

Unlike every other time travel story I've read - this groundhog type telling is so unique and absolutely mind blowing! Jen stays up late to see her son come home just before Halloween. Through a window, she sees him near the house then a stranger approach him. She sees him stab a man. The chaos, the police, the absurd horror of it all. She clings to her husband as they sleep that night, knowing they have so much work to do in the morning.

Shelves: mystery

This was a fun read since it had a unique premise of time-traveling backward. But once I got used to it though, I realized the mystery part was not as unique and mostly predictable. It was still mostly a good read though.

I enjoyed this book. I have to say that I got lost in the going backwards a little, maybe because it was audio and hard to look back when I wanted to know how I knew a name. But the book was very enjoyable. I did not have the whole story I figured out a little and got a bunch wrong as we unfolded what the real story was. I was content with the why it ended. I should say I really liked the ending.
