I'd really like to give this 4.5 stars, but since I can't..Remarkably Bright Creatures was a book club selection and at first I couldn't figure out why they chose it -- I was probably at least 150 pages into the book thinking, this really isn't my kind of story -- and then it suddenly got really good and by the time it ended I was sorry the story was over!

This was a wholesome, entertaining and relatable listen. I would strongly recommend this as an audiobook for someone who appreciates some dry humor, earnest people and situations, and can empathize with the fragility of heartbreak, grief and belonging. I really enjoyed this book and though bittersweet when it ended, appreciated the opportunity to step into the world of Sowell Bay, WA for a brief period.
