Completed this audiobook in 3.5 days, or approximately 6 hours while driving to and from work, without having read the original. As I now understand, there are many details from the first book that would spillover into this sequel, so I would highly recommend reading that one first.

All a bit convoluted & confusing. I probably should have read the first book before this, & I would have but this is what the library gave me when I reserved #1, they seem to have mixed up their catalogue. Maybe I would have been more interested in the characters if I'd known them for longer but they all left me cold except for Kurata who travelled to the future to ensure Asami's happiness.

The emphasis on happiness is irritating me a bit too: contentment, fulfilment & joy may be worth striving f
