“There is no history in a place until we make it, until you live a life worth remembering.”

This book did surprise me in some ways and was predictable in others. While the mystery of Travis and Maggie is predictable as the story goes along, there's more to the story. I think this had the potential to be better than it was. The author is good at building suspense and a sense of fear. However, the way things were resolved left me feeling underwhelmed. I liked it enough though.
