Indeed why should I not admit it ? At that moment my heart was breaking ,before long , however I turned to her and said with a smile “ you’re correct Mrs benn as you say , it is too late to turn back the clock”

I loved this book and can’t believe Iv had it on my shelve for so long , it is quietly beautiful about a lost age and a lost world . The first 40
Odd pages are a little slow but my goodness stick with it ! I’m not bereft and wondering what to read next which will be as good as this

So for years I've had this book on my shelf and thought that I would absolutely love this. Well, turns out it's been ages since I've read such an unsatisfying book. I though the ending would make up for all the bland parts in between, but it made the book even worse. So frustrating.
I don't hate the writing style, the voice of the butler was interesting, even though I disliked him most of the time, but it left me very underwhelmed.
