So for years I've had this book on my shelf and thought that I would absolutely love this. Well, turns out it's been ages since I've read such an unsatisfying book. I though the ending would make up for all the bland parts in between, but it made the book even worse. So frustrating.

While this book is not the sort of thing I typically read, I definitely enjoyed reading it. The story is far less important than the development of the character and a long conversation on the concept of "dignity". In the end the reader realizes (I'm not sure if the main character does) that he has been so dignified through his life that he has failed to live his life, or even to think critically about some of the things that are happening right under his nose, ranging from a woman who is in lov
