Clementine and Erika have been friends forever, but Erika has been the friend that always needed to be included in Clementine family to feel normal. Erika mother was a hoarder and could not be bothered with her. Clementine mom includes Erika in most of the family outings and get together .
Erika feels beholden but Clementine is secretly enraged.... of this constant dependency or so she thinks!

I've been hooked on Liane Moriarty's novels since Big Little Lies and was eagerly awaiting her new release. That being said, it didn't capture my attention like her previous novels. Without giving away the surprises, I was disappointed by the plot twists but felt that the story redeemed itself within the final chapters. I truly still enjoy her books, am madly awaiting her next one and I'm guilty of finishing them in a single read. ...more
