This was pretty good. I didn't know if I'd end up liking it, but I'm glad I read it.
This isn't my usual genre.

I think what makes this book so easy to like is because Katsa is pretty awesome. not only does she kick everyone's butt, but she also is learning who she is. She really grows and comes in to her strengths as well as her weaknesses but she also embraces it all.

The supporting cast: Oll, Giddon, Po, Raffin and others - they really formed and became real people in the midst of this story. A

On the other hand, I enjoyed the complexity of the plot that centered on the political conflicts between the seven kingdoms and the abuse of power. The story was impelling, with lovely plot twists which had me ...more

The sentence structure was atrocious. I don't want to have to stop and reread sentences and paragraphs to understand what is going on. When reading the writing should flow and draw you into the story.

Then Katsa gets angry for no reason during dinner and just takes off, what?
