This book was FANTASTIC!!!
I don’t often write reviews on here, but I feel that this one deserves it.
I found this book hard to read. I picked it up, put it back down, picked it up again etc etc for months.
I finally got hooked in the last 100 pages or so- and found it immensely moving, gut wrenching, disturbing, and beautiful.
Thank you to the author for sharing this story about this little known history of WW2. For a maritime disaster so huge, it’s surprising that we don’t know about it.

3.5 rounded up. It took me a bit to get pulled into this, but it really got good. And by good I mean tragic and heartbreaking. I am so glad this author digs into less know parts of history I always learn something new about history. It’s that and her character work is what makes her stories for me.
