I did not have this as a reading requirement in high school, but I am making sure to add the classics to my lists due to there literary importance. With this completed I was wondering why we didn't read it in high school however I most likely would not have found the meaning that I have currently. It is quite interesting that this book is considered a banned book because of its content. Literature about the time I find it hard to believe could be banned because it was honest.
