I'm certain at some point the author considered titling this "Train Wreck", which would have been more apropos. All I can say is the raters warned me, with cautionary notes that the characters were all rotten people, though I'm surprised more people haven't complained about how misogynistic it was - both male and female characters were exaggerated caricature versions of the genders; none having any kind of psychological sophistication. Not my usual choice of genre. I find these psychological thrillers too stressful for me. With that stated, I thought the book was well written and I read it for book club.

What an amazingly fun novel! I loved all of the twists and turns, especially with all of the unreliable narrators. It just kept me guessing until the end. Also, there really isn't a single character with redeeming qualities, which is interesting. No "shining hero" that I was rooting for. I thought that each of the characters were very well written and had their own distinct voice, attitude, and behavior. I could actually imagining running into them in real life.
