Every time I read this I love it more. Anne's misfortunes and silly mistakes are so endearing, it's lovely. It brings me back to my childhood and it reminds me so much of my Gran. ...more

My daughter and I read this aloud together and it was wonderful. This is one of those classic stories that I never read as a girl, but reveled in it as an adult. Great life lessons abound and when Marilla finally voices her love for Anne I was in tears.
