This was a heartwrenchingly beautiful book. I loved it. Funny, sorrowful, dark, poignant, it was about bravery amidst crisis and the beauty of female friendships. Probably the best book I've picked up this year and something I could not appreciate when I first picked it up as a teenager.

I don't remember who recommended this book to me, but I would like to say thank you. The characters and plot drew me in completely - every time I had to put it down, I couldn't wait to get back to it. Definitely a "must read."
