I am unsettled in a fantastic way after finishing the book. Although the commentary on cloning is subtle, I can't help but think about what it means to be human. The characters in the book know what they are, how much time they have and lack hope, yet they go on to live and cling to friendships and relationships in a juvenile way. I read each page of the book with a little bit of sadness. Really loved it.

Not at all what I expected....from the little bit it gave you to read I did not expect the book to really be about what it was about without giving much away. I liked the style of writing alot. It was like Kathy was just talking to you and I think that is why the story went so fast and why I felt like I wanted to know more the whole time. I enjoyed the story. Overall good read...lol...

How can a book be both gloriously illuminating and devastatingly tragic at the same time?
Leave the plot to Ishiguro and this feat will be accomplished.
It took me a bit to get into the story, but once I did I was ensnared.
The disturbing part is that I can imagine a future where the questions raised by the book will need to be explored.
The power of love and the possibilities of the power of love are both at play in this book.
