What Members Thought
This was the first of the 13 classic books I plan to read in 2013, and I was very impressed. I liked the book quite a bit the whole way through. The language F. Scott uses is so beautiful, sometimes I just paused and read a bit out loud, because the sentences sound so perfect. One of my favorite lines was "A universe of ineffable gaudiness spun itself out in his brain while the clock ticked on the washstand and the moon soaked with wet light his tangled clothes upon the floor."
