I read read this as part of my Booker winners campaign. It is as well written as I remembered. Maybe I relate to the narrator, a lazy tea shop worker, that listened to learn instead of mopping the floor dutifully. It is an excellent view point seeing the world, at least rich people and Americans through his eyes. Did have a bit of the Slumdog Millionaire feel to it. A fast read, perhaps because it is highly engrossing. Adiga keeps the suspense and humor on an even keel, in this caustic commentary on Indian society. His other books are next on my list!
