What Members Thought

I like military SF ( a bit of a guilty pleasure) and I like John Scalzi's writing. So I was surprised I wasn't as enamoured with this as I expected to be.
I was pretty old school SF which leaned more towards Heinlein (the were parts that seemed so like Starship Troopers) than Haldeman. with a title like Old Man's War I was expecting something like The Forever War.

The ending came fast. I expected there to be more of a third act and it felt like two chapters. I'm interested to see how the series continues. I don't expect to dive right back in.
