The book, Rainbow Weavers, is an excellent book for teachers to show students Guatemalan culture. The book highlights the skill of weaving, which is passed down through Guatemalan generations. This book is bilingual with Spanish translations especially with vocabulary about art. The book has real-life pictures of Mayan textiles and work.
I love this book! I think it is so important for my students to feel connected with not only their culture but their community that they came from as well!
