"My America" by Karen Katz is a fun and beautifully illustrated children's book that discusses the subject of immigration. It includes many different cultures and discusses the beauty of the child's previous country and why they love their new community in America. It also discusses the many reasons why people immigrate to the United States. Katz discusses different languages, schools, family trees, safety, and so on. This is a wonderful book to represent a classroom full of diversity.
