This book tells a story about a very loud village that elected a new mayor to keep their town more quiet, until a very loud rooster, or "gallito", started to crow all day and all night without fail. The mayor tried everything to make it stop but eventually he gave up and the town was loud and happy once again. Not only is this book colorfully illustrated and fun to read but it is also a great way to integrate latinx culture into the classroom. A teacher could use this book to teach spanish words ...more
