Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto was a book I really enjoyed reading. It not only emphasizes the hispanic culture, but it gives off a lesson as well. Too Many Tamales is about a young latina who is helping her mother make tamales. In the process of doing so she tries on her mothers wedding ring and ends up losing it in the batch of tamales!
