This book is a great book to begin talking to children about diversity. It has a dragon in it, what child doesn't love dragons? The dragon goes to school and he realizes he looks different than everyone else and he is sad about it. Andrew the little boys helps him feel better by explaining to the dragon that everyone is different in their own way, some children at school are short, some are tall, some are really skinny, some are not. Some are different shades or brown, some are white, some have long black hair some have short blond hair. Etc. This book helps teach children that everyone is different and that's what makes all special in our own way. Helps children understand and appreciate diversity.
