This book is about a little girl name Juana who moves from Mexico to New York. Before she leaves Mexico she promises to write to her grandfather. When Juana arrives in New York she writes to her grandfather, telling him what its like to live in such a different place. She explains how she doesn't understand a lot of English words and how the teacher pronounced her name wrong. This will be a great book to have in a classroom to help children whose first language is not English to see themselves in books and to help children who are new in the country feel like they are not alone and understand they are not the only ones who leave their countries and families behind.
