This book is historical, colorful, and a terrific book to read and discuss how people help each other in challenging times. This book also introduces children to rent parties and jazz. This book would be a great read during Black History Month. In addition, this book would be a great read in times like today where lot of families are having a tough time paying their rent. Teachers and parents can discuss with their children and find ways they can help people their community.
