Touches on the struggles of a child whose father who once helped raise him is incarcerated and is no longer there to teach him as he grows up. This book talks about the love, struggle, and bond of family. As a teacher the children we will teach come from all walks of life. Different cultures, religions, and different family dynamics. Books like these are important to showcase different family dynamics which aren't typically highlighted or discussed in books.
