This book was great to read to my students when the children started asking "children" questions about different families in the classroom. One little girl explained that her mommy and daddy lived in different houses and another kid was very confused. Coming from a split family myself, I thought this book would be perfect to explain to the young children that not all families are the same. There are mixed-race families, one-parent families, same-sex parent families, step families, and much more!
