This book is about a young Chinese-African-Cuban girl who dreamed of becoming a drummer on the island of music. Due to cultural traditions, boys were the only ones allowed to drum on their island. Although the dream drum girl’s dream seemed farfetched, she was granted a chance to show her hidden talents which led her to encourage all boys and girls to dream freely in their own unique ways – even when it may seem impossible.
