After the great five-day festival of Deepawali two brothers, Alu and Bhalu, made their way to honor some of the courageous dogs of Kathmandu, Nepal. During this tradition, children bring treats to honor search and rescue dogs for their service to the city after an earthquake. The boys eventually find a stray dog, brought her home to the family, and then honored her by painting a red tika on her forehead and draping orange flower garlands around her neck.
