I really enjoyed this book.
- Tana is a good person, who makes bad choices, who does stupid things and irrational things for the people she cares about (and not just those she sees naked).
- The story is fun, starts right in the action, slows down before speeding up again before things get boring. I read half the novel in one sitting, which is not normally something I do.
- The other characters are interesting too, some are stereotypes, some are not.

I really loved this book a lot. The main character, Tana is well-devloped and she seems to be a girl I would really like to know. She is human, properly fleshed out and the way she acts makes sense for her. The vampires in this book are a very good combination of still sort of human and monster and the world Holly Black has created is really magical.
