I loved this book even more than the first. I seriously couldn't put it down. I finished it yesterday and started the third in the series last night. Yelena has had a hard difficult life and yet is so strong and resilent. I love her strong bond with Valek and her friendship with Ari and Janco and how she comes together with the family she lost. A fun entertaining read.

I really liked Magic Study. I didn't love it like Poison Study, but it was still really good. At times it was hard to follow the action, but I was very entertained and I couldn't put it down.

4.5 again. I love this series!!
My concern with this book was the way Valek seemed to undergo a personality shift. I mean, now that he's official about his love for Yelena, I understand that he'd be more open, softer, and a little different than he seemed in the first.
But it felt like he was a new character. His actions and dialogue were quite out of character. He was a lot more mushy, and very very cocky! It was driving me nuts! I thought he was overall less swoon-able. I still love him though ...more

Another solid book. I was a little sad that there wasn't more Valek, but when he did appear it made it worth the wait. What can I say, I have a soft spot for fictional hotties!!! I'm excited to find out the full extent of Yelenas powers. The girl is going to kick trash when she gets it all together.

I've been enjoying this series. Not as much romance (especially if you just read Twilight) but enjoyable characters and alot of action. It is a page turner.

I absolutely love this series....it is one of my favorites! Rereading them has renewed my love for the characters that Maria has created !
Not as good as Poison Study but still very good!
