What Members Thought
Like any other book written by Maria V. Snyder, Storm Glass is really good. The book is about Opal Cowan, a glass maker with some magical skills. It’s a high fantasy book so there’s magic, horses, swords, and the like. But what I really liked were the parts Opal was making/sculpting glass. The author described the process so well I actually learned a lot about glass making too. So far, it has been very difficult for me to not love everything written by Maria V. Snyder. Storm Glass is no different. I love the world she has created with Ixia and Sitia and at first I was uncertain of Opal and her story. I mean, after the Study series, how can she top that? Well, while she hasn't topped it, she has certainly equalled it and I can't wait to see what else is in store for Opal. She has a serious new power and I see all sorts of obstacles in her future...from everyone.
