I really liked the way the story was presented, the story line and characters intensely blend in.
This was one hell of a book, after reading "And the mountains echoed" and "The Kite Runner", I was eager to read this book, and this didn't disappoint me.

If you thought The Kite Runner was horrific this book is atleast 4x the horror it was. I normally try and avoid books with melodrama suffering and in general books on war. But this one left a deep impact on me. Especially the fact that the human will triumphs despite such seemingly insurmountable misery.
A truly wonderful story. The way we see the characters growing right from the childhood and then the story progressing is phenomenal.

This is a tale of two women, in search of meaning, purpose and mainly survival. The characters are very well crafted, and the story is very moving. The story revolves around the two women, and how fate brings them together.
