I would give this one a 4 1/2 if half stars were a thing. The beginning was a little slow, but once i got into the story and invested in the characters i really enjoyed it.
stayed up way too late to finish this but i couldn't put it down. delightful on all counts! can't wait to grab the next one.

This was very sweet and I enjoyed it a lot! Dora and Elias are very fun characters and the "half a soul" thing as an explanation for odd behavior and low emotional affect (perhaps a metaphor for autism?) is neat and well done. I thought the humanitarian bent mixed with Regency era balanced each other out well. The romance is sweet although I would have liked maybe just a bit more mutual pining/angst before resolution?
