Shelves: social-commentary, the-south

This was a book that I had the hardest time rating after reading it. There was such controversy about it and many people chose not to read it, believe that it would be a disservice to Harper Lee to read it.

I am glad that I read it. Like so many people , I loved To Kill a Mockingbird, but in many ways I found this book more honest. Shelves: historical-setting, kwench, prequel-sequel-series

It was good. But not upto expectations. The rationale extended at some places is not really convincing. The shift between two timelines, present for the protagonist and her past is smooth and interesting, providing a perspective. Atticus Finch was a tall hero in "To Kill a Mockingbird" to his daughter and the readers.
