What Members Thought
This is probably one of the strangest books I've ever read. It ran the gamut from humorous to horrifying, but not in the ways I expected it to. While I would classify it as horror, it isn't really the type to have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails while wide eyed. The most frightening parts aren't at all supernatural, but the human, in my opinion. This certainly isn't the book for anyone with a weak stomach, or anyone easily offended or triggered by violence.

Before I start I am going to say that I am not going to compare Joe's writing to his father's, I think that is unfair (especially given how much I love his dad's work) and while obvious parallels can be drawn I prefer to review this on its own merit.

Brilliant concept, but execution varied from excellent to mediocre.
Joe Hill definitely has a lot in common with his Dad in style, but his ideas are his own. An interesting and well-written horror.
Decent book. Fucking terrible movie. Significant suspension of disbelief required for both.
Very appropriate book to finish on Halloween! So much like his dad and loved the book!
