*deepbreath* Haven't done a review in a while...here goes...
Neil Gaiman describes this as a fairy tale for adults. I would have to agree with him. Stardust has an ethereal, spinning-wheel, enchanting essence that makes it impossible to be otherwise. However, there is a very "adult" scene between the father of the boy, Tristran, who will find his Heart's Desire, and this enslaved faerie woman.
It also has the modern disullusionment of people that take the easy way out, like Tristran's father, Duns ...more

I always thoroughly enjoyed Gaiman's Sandman comics and have wanted to read his novel, but just never seem to be able to. Now with my Summer Challenge 2009 I have a reason to make myself look at this wonderful author's works.

Hmm, I didn't find the story or characters all that compelling; nevertheless, I seemed to still enjoy the experience, especially since I listened to the audiobook read by Neil Gaiman. Hearing him read his own stories is always a pleasant and hypnotic experience.
