I'm not sure what the stories in this anthology have in common, other than that the editor, David Levithan, chose them. The subtitle is "New Stories from the Edge," which I guess means they're not typical, mainstream. And that's probably true. They're about people -- teenagers -- who don't quite fit in, in one way or another.
As in most anthologies, some of the pieces are better than others. My favorite story might be the last one, "The Birds of Fleming Park," or it might be "Ginger." ...more
