"My father was forty-four when he died, too.
Struck by the coincidence, I counted out their lifespans. The same numbers of months, the same numbers of weeks... But Fitzergerald lived three days longer.
For a wild moment I entertained the idea that my father had timed his death with this in mind, as some sort of deranged tribute.
But that would only confirm that his death was not my fault. That, in fact, it had nothing to do with me at all.
And I'm reluctant to let go of that last, tenuous bond."

I'm really into graphic novels/memoirs lately. I love seeing how the authors tell their story in a different format. This one was great, it's the story of her relationship with her father and his death as well as her own coming out. Once she comes out to her family she finds out that her father has been leading a double life and having relationships with men for years. Having this knowledge makes her look back on things in a different way.

I had to abandon this one. I just wasn't feeling it. I really liked Are You My Mother? This one on the other hand, felt like a chore to read. Maybe I'll revisit in another season.
