What Members Thought
I can't remember if I read this book as a kid, but I wanted to pick it back up after having read Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The story is enjoyable in a very simple way, but knowing some more of the truth definitely makes it hit a little harder. On the whole a powerful and moving portrayal of a time in American history that actually wasn't that long ago, yet feels ancient in memory. Cozy and wholesome.
