What I liked about this book is that it has a back-to-basic type of vampire. The story POV was confusing at the beginning of the book, being in third person but the narrator clearly set in the present era (mentions of video cameras, psychoanalytic therapy, DNA sampling...); and the story went back and forth sometimes, too, spoiling crucial events.

0.o, i will be honest, the first time i saw this book i laughed, but since the movie was coming out, i decided to read it, and thank goodness i did!! This book was soo well written, and even though i knew that his mom would die, as well as most of his sons, I had to hold back tears when they died. But when he died! I bawled like a babay! I loved henry, he seemed like a cool person (tehe), but i loved Abraham! He is one of my favorite presidents, and although this book is fiction, i love him even ...more

much better than I expected. I had put the book down three quarters of the way through which is why it took so long to finish it. But I got back to it and was able to jump right in and polish it off.
