An interesting idea/concept for a story but could have used alot more depth and subtlety in the telling. Half way thru but couldn't finish it.

I had remembered very little of this from the first time I read it. I did enjoy it, although I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. I think it was probably too long, but it hits a lot of the spots about America and religion that I really like.
